Pear Green Juice
A perfect start to the day.
I’ve been iterating green juice recipes for over 5 years now and this is one of my favorites. Super simple, and only a handful of ingredients - this recipe is a slam dunk if you’re looking for a fast and healthy start to your morning. Pears add extra fiber, giving a nice balance to this wholesome green juice.
Ingredients
5 lacinato kale leaves, de-stemmed
handful of spinach
1 tsp fresh ginger, peeled
1 whole lemon, peeled
1 pear, cut into slices
3 ice cubes
1/3 cup cold water (you can also use coconut water for an extra boost of minerals and antioxidants)
Blend
All of the ingredients together at a high speed. I use a Vitamix, and gets everything super-fine and into a juice constancy. Serve immediately! Some separation is totally natural, the iron from both the spinach and kale are rich in texture and can create a foam. If you’re super hardcore, you can drink the foam but really all of the nutrients are packed into the juice.
