Winter Wears & Investment Pieces

As we drift into the depths of winter, I find myself more and more drawn to classic investment pieces that are warm, durable, and refined. I love winter for its possibilities for layering and creating depth in a singular outfit. I also am suuuper drawn to statement pieces lately. Mainly in shoes and accessories–some coats too. I love a well-structured coat that makes a fun statement like this one! I’ve been wearing it non-stop since I bought it earlier this fall.

This past year I’ve spent a great deal of time slimming down my wardrobe. I’m feeling less and less inspired by fast fashion first for its environmental impact and also for the fact that it’s so single-use. I often find myself throwing out a sweater from last year’s Zara sale because the quality is SO poor that it’s barely a woven fabric anymore. On that note, I’m very slowly and considerately building an investment wardrobe that I can cherish and utilize for years to come. These are a few pieces that I’ve been eyeing for winter!
