Concept | August '19
It’s been a minute.
This summer has blissfully gotten away from me if I’m being honest. It felt like we were traveling for the majority of June and July - which made it a bit frantic for me to sit down and gather my thoughts. However now that things have settled a bit, I’m craving getting back into the creative swing of things.
This August, we have a few summer barbecues planned, and I’m so excited to try out a few new recipes. I’ve been taking regular trips to the farmers market each weekend, which has been so helpful in getting my foodie creative juices flowing.
I’ve also been trying to get back on a healthy rhythm, which has been quite a struggle for me. Since traveling, I haven’t been able to quite get the right footing both mentally or physically. I’ve found myself frequently tired, unmotivated and seriously drained. Cooking has really helped me slowly start to fall back in love with simple food, and it has motivated me to take things a bit slower - plan a bit more, and be more conscious around both the body and mind. Someone asked me recently about my take on “meal prep” and what my average week looks like in relation to nutrition and food. I’m most definitely not an expert in this area, but it was fun to share what I’ve learned over the years and my approach to something so simple yet crucial to a productive week. I’m working on summing everything up into a new post to share soon!
A few other things of note this month….
I’m experimenting with new skincare and am loving the results!
My makeup routine has drastically changed - I’ll share more about this asap.
Our living room needs a refresh, and I’ve got my eye on a few new pieces.
Millie is getting more comfortable in social settings so we’ve been taking her to the dog park each weekend, its so fun!
Have a great month, everyone! xx
