A Little Organization
Hi my name is Karina and I'm a type A neat freak. I have this issue where I need everything to be neat and tidy on the surface - but then my desk drawers are absolute chaos. But at least I made sure that the take and stapler were the right amount of distance from one another so I'm still a neat person right?!
Well either way, I think I may have some serious "judge by the surface" issues need to be examined. But thats another time and day. Recently, I stumbled upon this great company called Stil Classics. They're a intentional, minimal (and extremely well organized) studio that creates design facing products for the every-person. I've always been a planner person - I love making lists purely to cross things off. But I've never really had a "life-planner", I've only had a school or professional planner that consists of disorganized lists with no form of tracking, goal setting or intention setting. Stil offers an array of stunning paper products that can be used in almost any form. I recently purchased their planner in blushing olive and I'm in love. Its allowed me to be more thoughtful about how I spend my time. Sometimes I think to myself "would this activity look attractive written down in my planner?!" there's something so unattractive about the phrase "Procrastinated for 4 hours".
I'm not a manic activity planner, I don't write down my every move - I rather enjoy being spontaneous and freeform when it comes to my planning. But that said, I am so much more accountable for my intentions when I write them down somewhere. You don't necessarily have to meet every goal you set - just acknowledge that you made it an intention and examine the future potential for growth in that area.
