PM Living Room Vibes

Our living room has seen so much evolution in this past year that I thought it was worth documenting in the pm.

It’s rare that I take photos in the evening, however I was super inspired to catch a few rare glimpses. While I love a good natural daylight, there is something so charming about an interior in the evening–sparkling in a candle-lit glow. Evenings “in” are so frequent these days–so I’m constantly trying to add a few new objects to make these moments even more special. One add that I’ve been loving lately has been these candles. I burn then as soon as I shut my computer for the evening and its such a lovely signifier of time–the ending of a day and the beginning of evening.

Another favorite are these candle holders that I always rave about. I hung them to flank our bay window and I love how they add just a touch of light to that small area.

When designing a space, it’s important to consider how it will appear in all instances–day and night. Therefore, choosing adequate lighting is so important. I’m an avid lover of table lamps everywhere. They add such charm to a space–and a touch of drama compared to ceiling lights or canned lighting. Another element that is so important to consider are your finishes. I chose a burl wood desk because it simply lights up in both daylight and at night.

Anyway, evenings are sacred over here–candles, wine (or tea), and zero distractions. Cherish your at home moments in the evening because they’re more special then they may seem. If being at home these last few months has taught me anything–it’s to cherish the little moments.
