My favorite little cane stool from France&Son

I have slowly developed a love for stools. They’re small, wonderful little objects of both function and beauty. In my opinion, you really cannot have too many stools. They sit, peacefully, where ever you need them–offering a casual seat or perhaps a perch for your favorite books. Their possibilities are so endless!

If you follow me on Instagram, you know one of my favorite pieces in our home is this stool.

It first came into our home to be a temporary desk chair, and since then it has manifested into so many other uses. Right now, I’m using it as our side table by the end of the sofa. I love the pop of contrast that it adds in that little spot. Its also in the perrrrfect location for my wine glass when I’m sitting on the sofa.

Stools offer such an eclectic pop to any space. I love seeing them in the bathroom or in a laundry room, even a kitchen for a little pop. I recently found this Etsy shop with the cutest vintage stools–these would be perfect for a kitchen or bathroom!

You can even stack two stools at the foot of your bed for an added layer and spot to prop pillows or linens.

If you do go down the vintage stool route, they can get rather expensive. Usually the more affordable ones are quite small and are meant for a bookshelf–so just watch your sizes there!

I’m also a huge fan of these little French stools. I love their spindle legs!

I am OBSESSED with this wicker curved stool. Its silhouette is simply stunning - two of these in a living room would be so beautiful!
