At Home Captures | July
These last few months have felt like a rush of newness and joy in our apartment. The design process is always a slow, careful and considered effort for me. I’m slowly investing in pieces that I will love forever, which is definitely a feat! I constantly keep reminding myself that Rome wasn’t built in a day, which is difficult when you’re craving change! After a few updates and new additions to our home, I thought I’d share a few glimpse of each room.
Living Room
The updates just keep coming in this room! At the beginning of the month we rearranged all of the furniture on a complete whim. Thinking we’d change it back the next day, it slowly started to grow on us and now we’re thinking of keeping it this way!
Moving our sofa into the bay window has allowed for more space in the room altogether–which we love!
Our new desk arrives next week and I’m so excited to add it to the space. I’m sure it’ll take some tinkering and restyling, but I can’t wait to share how it comes out!
Bedroom
The bedroom is a slow and steady process. I really want to update our bed one day…however until then I’ve been focusing on designing the space around the nightstands. I love their curved shape and linen texture–they add a nice clean, coastal glam to the space!
Kitchen
I dream of a kitchen adorned with a giant farmhouse sink, tile floor, dramatic marble backsplash, and pristine natural countertops–alas our tiny updated kitchen will do the trick for now!
Since I love cooking so much, I spend a ton of time in this area of our home.
Bathroom
Okay so because we rent, our bathroom is nothing too special–but we did add a few touches of our own. For one, we needed way more storage in this room so this shelf was the first addition!
In our shower I love having fresh greenery–eucalyptus in particular. I’ve been doing this for years because it just adds such a spa-like freshness to the shower experience that is unlike any other! You can hang a bunch of eucalyptus on your shower head or simply place them in a vase with water.
