The Mockneck, A Love Affair
The sweater I’m currently swooning over.
And - queue the hairtucks everywhere! The turtleneck is taking on a whole new concept and I’m really digging it. It’s frigid right now in San Francisco (sorry Mid-West) but we’re not used to this. I found myself wearing two coats to work the other day because my wardrobe is so geared towards West Coast weather. Alas, I think I’ve found one of the perfect cozy solutions that I plan to be wearing all year (looking at you Fogust).
The mockneck is something that has been around for quite some time now - even had a big moment in the 90s and now is back to play. Slightly more structured than the traditional turtleneck, I love how casual and effortless they are. The slightly lower neckline is oh-so-flattering and creates the illusion of more vertical space - its a great piece to pair a bold statement earring with. This season I’m seeing the mockneck all over the place - and in slightly different variations. I wear this one constantly, I’m so obsessed. It’s easy to pair with almost anything and is so comfy. I’ve linked a few below - I’m adding the Tracy Cableknit to my list for sure!
