The Vibe–January 22
There you are January!
It has been a HOT minute since I’ve done a monthly moodboard! Come to think of it….about a year. Time flies when you’re procrastinating. Okay, not really procrastinating, more like living during a crazy busy time, juggling work full time, and also trying to keep things fresh around here! Like I’ve said before, my north star with blogging is when it feels right– so I like to keep my content organic and free-flowing as opposed to scheduled and redundant. However, with the newness of a brand new year, I’m feeling inspired to get after some monthly vibe setting again!
And here we are, almost halfway through January–typical me. However, I think its safe to say that we can take things day by day in this current climate, no? A few things are on my mind this January that I thought I’d share so here we go!
Things This Month
Our engagement party! And also Omicron…you bastard. So instead of doing our full-blown party like we’ve planned–we downsized the event to a small group of friends. We’re still keeping our venue and photographer and I’m so excited for a close friend to be doing the florals! Even though this event has evolved with the current state of the world (sigh) I’m still so excited to spend it with friends, intimately celebrating our engagement!
I’m trying out eyelash extensions for the first time ever! I’m getting them professionally done this week and can’t wait to report back…I’m praying I don’t have some crazy reaction to them…that would be so me.
I’m taking a break from the gym this month–we’ve had beautiful weather here in SF lately so I’m taking advantage of my hot girl walks with sweet mil mil during the day. I love getting a sunshine high…it’s unlike any other and sooo nice to get steps in!
My new planner from Golden Coil came in yesterday and I cannot wait to start jotting things down. I opted for a new layout this time…I’m excited to try it out and see if it has any change on my mood/productivity. My goal is to write everyday this year so this planner is going to (hopefully) keep me honest.
Other than that, we’re cooking a lot more recently! Nothing fancy, but we’re only ordering out once a week (which is huge for us) and are focusing on making healthier simple meals at home during the week. I’ve sort of learned to LOVE this little ritual…it’s a nice time to come together after a long day and chop some veggies over a glass of wine and chat. PS can we chat about how meditative chopping veggies is? Just chopping in general…I grew up being my dad’s assistant in the kitchen and chopping was always my job – and now later in life I really appreciate learning those knife skills early on!
Oh! And I’m really excited to start doing more of these reels! I think they’re fun, and I love getting to flex some of my interior design muscles and share thoughts.
