Dried Floral Ornaments

This year I wanted to try something new when with our holiday decor. Each year, I tend to go for a more “glam” look–with mixed metals, tons of fun tinsel, and accents of gold. While I still love that holiday look–this year I wanted something that felt more aligned to where my personal style was at. I have been on a natural, organic, and simple kick–gravitating more towards an “elegance undone” approach.

I thought, why not translate this to our holiday ornaments?

I adore dried flowers and love adding them to the decor of our space. The weekend that Jackson and I got engaged, I collected a few wildflowers along the road in Calistoga–and have kept them ever since. Their simplistic beauty reminds me of that amazing weekend and I cherish them!

Creating your own ornaments is so fun and easy–you can take it any direction you want. To create these adorable dried floral “bulbs” we’ll call them, here’s what you’ll need!

Supplies
Glass ornaments with removable tops - I purchased these!
Dried flowers of your choice - I nabbed these, these, and these over on Amazon.
Sheers for cutting
Tweezers for placing flowers
Simple brown twine - I used this
Ornament hangers of choice - these are mine!

Process
This is where you can get creative! I just freestyle-ed here and let each ornament come together naturally! I was inspired by similar textures pairing together, and different shapes/textures complementing one another.

Have fun!
