Dreamy Bathroom Decor

Someone asked me recently where I like to shop for bathroom decor and I genuinely had to think about it for a hot minute.

I realized that some of the decor in my tiny sf apartment bathroom was a total afterthought and nothing that I’ve put particular effort into. Be that as it may, our bathroom is incredibly tiny, has zero counter space, and is not a super swoon-worthy space on its own. So I thought–why not put a little care and love into our bathroom?

Because we rent, it’s really only the decor that we can consider. I love a fresh, inviting, and neutral bathroom with a little drama via materials, colors, and finishes. I’ve always loved vintage brushed gold or even brass mirrors–they’re so charming and instantly make a space feel slightly moody and romantic. I love this lamp–because it adds the perfect touch of organic warmth.

Now, because bathrooms tend to run short on storage space–I’m always looking for the perfect little cabinet or storage piece. I really don’t love the look of most “traditional” bathroom storage pieces–they’re kind of corporate and depressing. This is where I would turn to vintage–as in a vintage apothecary cabinet or even a vintage spice rack with closed storage to act as a medicine cabinet.

I use these to organize my makeup and skincare in our bathroom closet. They are simply practical and don’t add anything to the decor but I love how simple they are.

I have a stool in nearly every room of our apartment, bathroom included! I also love this senufo style for its small size–perfect as an accent in a small-scale bathroom.

A few pieces I’ve been eyeing…
