This hand soap is divine. I’m so in love with Santa Maria Novella. I recently also bought their hand sanitizers which are equally amazing. I love taking ordinary objects and elevating them–something so simple as washing your hands–why not make that …

PERSONAL
NOTES

It’s been a while since I’ve had a good sit and written down a few thoughts/feels/things that have been on my mind. Here we go!

First and foremost, I feel like there has been a gush of newness around here and on the social media sphere. I love connecting with new folks, and seeing more & more inspiration flood the feed. I think that is such a lovely part about being on social media–connecting, sharing, inspiring, and learning. It’s also such a unique time right now–we’re all a bit stripped down this year, so content is getting more raw and honest which I really love.

In light of said “gush of newness”, I thought I’d just take a moment to shed light on why I’m here.

I started Found By Fräulein with the intention of celebrating the undeniable beauty woven between life, food, style, and wellbeing. I’m a firm believer that when we take a moment to honor the simple pleasures in life, we are truly living to our fullest and most happiest selves. It is my upmost goal of this blog to create and share moments of beauty solely for the purpose of inspiring.

If you’re curious about the name, I chose it because it strikes a chord with my Austrian heritage. In my eyes, fräulein translates to an independent, uninhibited figure who defies cultural boundaries to share thoughts, feelings, and ideas that center around life and culture.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been inspired by the ordinary. Something simple, like the way light cascades across glass–or how a head of lettuce can taste so divine with just as squeeze of lemon, pinch of sea salt and a drizzle of olive oil. From a young age, these things became ingrained in my core and I wanted to celebrate them, share them, and make sure they were always honored. Found By Fräulein exists because I wanted to create a trove of inspiration originating from my own daily life’s musings.

Life is truly beautiful, so why not document the shit out of it?

Inspiration, by nature, is incredibly inclusive.

Inspiration bonds, uplifts, and literally moves us forward as a society–which is crucial. It’s for this reason that I find it absolutely absurd why voices who choose to share/spread ideas are often silenced, or harshly put down. It’s sad to say, but while the social media sphere is so incredible, its also a really harsh place. I’ve seen (and experienced) so much judgement on my own platform. It has made me incredibly sad and demotivated, enough to question the nature of why I’m even sharing in the first place. However, what I know to be true is that not everyone is going to like you–or care what you have to say and that’s fine. Part of sharing is knowing to roll with the punches as they come, and understand life is to each its own.

SO with that said, let’s honor differences and know that not all folks share the same strokes. I just hope that this space inspires you, and urges you to celebrate moments of beauty that are uniquely your own.
