With the warmth of summer we are driven to our rawest and most natural form. The summer strips us of our defense against the outside, the harsh, and that which is fearful. In summer, we enliven our souls by immersing them in nature.
It has become quite clear that this summer will be far different from any that we have known before. My heart and body yearns for an Italian countryside pool to lounge by, spritz in hand, feeling the cool olive tree breeze lightly brushing my skin. Alas, we will be staying in the city this summer–taking advantage of some of our local splendors which we are so fortunate to have.
I’ve dedicated this blog to studying and coveting life’s daily moments of beauty in their rawest form. Summertime, unlike any other for me, is the culmination of simple moments. However it is also a time of great pause. I find the most stillness in summer. I find summer to often give me the most peace and quiet–and this stillness often sparks organic inspiration and emotion in a truly impactful way. So it feels only fitting to surrender to the stillness that feels particularly apparent this year. It feels only more fitting to use this time to study how we can grow and change to nurture a better tomorrow.
