A Few of My Favorite Things: Accessories Edit
These days, its the little things that are bringing me joy. The sweet smell of fresh flowers, a piece of jewelry that sits just right, a beautiful spread in a magazine. It’s these little joys that I covet everyday, and want to share with you all.
When I started this blog, it was all about coveting the beauty that comes from the everyday. Ever since, I have developed a deep love and admiration for the moments and pieces whose essence creates pure, unedited joy.
Recently, finding joy in everyday moments has become ever-so important. I find myself celebrating small moments more than ever now–and its something I want to continue.
I am an avid believer that objects cannot bring you joy. It is however, your love and appreciation for them that can create joy. I don’t believe in buying things just to have. Instead, I choose to purchase pieces that I will covet for years to come–objects that I appreciate for their construction and purpose.
Thus I thought I would share a few pieces that have been bringing me joy lately as a means to inspire you to do the same. Collect pieces that you love, share them with others, and celebrate their beauty–for its a ritual that I will always cherish.
A few of my favorite things
I wear this perfume every single day. I love it, and its scent reminds me of peonies (a favorite flower). I first discovered it while studying in Paris. I was a broke college student, so the shopkeeper gave me a few samples and I fell in love. When I got home and saved up some money from working as an office assistant, I finally bought it for myself. I’ve been wearing it ever since, and it stands as a symbol to me as the moment I became an adult in the working world–a woman of my own.
For years I’ve been searching the perfect medallion necklace. I love this one, and wear it nearly everyday. Jackson gave it to me on Mother’s Day…which (even though I’m just a dog mom right now) meant the world to me.
I think these are my favorite earrings for everyday. They’re simple, a little statement, and such a lovely size. I have them in white, but would love to try them in clear.
I’m not a big ring-wearer, but I do love a good statement.
Sunglasses are definitely a piece worth investing in. I’ve been wearing these for years, and although they were quite expensive, they were totally worth it. They’re durable, lightweight, and the perfect seal on any outfit.
