Happy Monday! This week kicks off our “staycation” at home. Originally we were going to travel to Hawaii–alas that plan has changed! On the bright side, I couldn’t be happier to be safe here at home. The mantra this week is self care. I’m trying to re-invest in my self, health, and overall wellbeing. I’m starting with doing a social media break. I’ve never done this before! But I’m hoping to realign how I spend my time, and where I cultivate creativity.

With the focus being on self this week, I thought I’d round up a few of my favorite pieces lately that are really helping me personally and at home. Like so many of us, Jackson and I are enjoying the finer things right now. We’re burning the good candles, drinking our favorite wines, and making alllll the comfort recipes.

But this week especially, we’re doing a few of our favorite things. Usually these include rooftop happy hours (conveniently located on our rooftop with just us two), backyard mornings where we sip our coffee over our favorite books, long urban hikes, and treating ourselves to a week of absolutely zero plans/deadlines/emails/meetings/blah blah blah. It’s been at least a year since we took a solid chunk of days off–and these couldn’t have come at a much more needed time. Here are a couple of things that have caught my eye this week for savoring the sweet moments at home.

This natural deodorant seems like such a luxurious treat. I love Sussanne Kaufmann and use her bath oil religiously, so this feels like such a treat for an everyday item. There is a side story here–since starting my self- quarantine, I’ve detoxed from deodorant and started using a natural brand. I had NO idea how many chemicals and toxins were in personal hygiene products, so this was a total shock and wake up call for me. I’m using this brand right now and I love it.

These twist candle sticks caught my eye recently. I love theses for springtime tablescapes!

This hand lotion is a new addition to our bathroom. Since we’re constantly washing our hands, I thought it might be a nice treat to level-up the experience with a dash of lotion afterwards.

I’ve been wanting this gold necklace for a while and I think I might treat myself.

I just bought this dress, because its black (perfect) and feels like it’ll be the perfect loose, go-with-anything dress.

How beautiful is this teapot?? I love its shape and structure. There is something so magical about a glass teapot–seeing the tea brew and change color is such a lovely ritual.

And finally, I’ve just rediscovered Tumblr. I haven’t really used the platform since high school when I first started blogging and collecting imagery. However, I must say–I love it for sourcing inspiration. I love this account in particular for that reason.

Happy Spring!
