We've Got This - A Playlist
In light of recent events (and also for no reason at all) I think it’s time for a bit of uplift.
Things have been…tough recently. Just within the last week, getting out of bed everyday has become a struggle. I feel incredibly exhausted and yet restless at the same time. I was hesitant to write this post–for the potential reveal of personal feelings, but then I realized that my feelings must be echoed somewhere, and being personal is what this space is about.
As humans, I think we have a tendency to feel as though we’re exhibiting feelings alone. We subject ourselves to the notion that our feelings of sadness, anxiety or grief can isolate us when in fact–they can really bring us together. Sadly, its somewhat rare to honestly hear of others’ struggles with emotions for this very reason. Most often I find that people struggle in silence, myself included.
Yet recently I’ve noticed that there is an incredible value that comes from normalizing the struggle.
I just think it’s so important to recognize where we are right now. It’s not easy, and we’re not even humanly capable of all the things we’re being asked to do right now–but we’re doing it. We’re moving forward, each and everyday. So why not move forward with a hint of positive momentum?
I’m not saying that putting on an uplifting playlist will solve all our problems. But it can ignite even the smallest flicker of positivity, and that is what I’m craving right now. So let it take you where you need to be right now. I’m currently going to blast this playlist into my headphones as I do the dishes.
Happy listening.
