Sunday Swoon No. 3
Good Morning! Happy Sunday. I’m so excited and hopeful for the week ahead. It’s officially spring, which means a refresh of inspiration is in order.
I thought about not doing a Sunday Swoon this week. Something felt a little deflating this week, and when it came to being inspired I was coming up short. I felt like this week quite literally sucked it all out of me – but then, what better time to reignite the inspo flame?
On that note, there is so much content out there–articles, links, emails, the list goes on. But I want this series to be something special – I pour my energy into finding and creating authentic inspirational content to help ignite positive momentum. I hope that this series finds you well – and that you come away from it with even the smallest spark of enthusiasm for something in your daily life. Cooking a new recipe, discovering a new website, or even finding a foreign playlist – these are all “small” wins that are astronomically uplifting in my book.
So here are a few of my recent faves…enjoy!
Recipes & Food
Food52 is always a favorite source of culinary inspiration for me. I love their kitchen tools too – I can always trust their taste for when I’m seeking a new kitchen staple. I came across this recipe for ribboned asparagus with butter and I’m so excited to try it. Its such a simple recipe and looks SO good.
If you don’t follow Athena Calderone on Instagram you most definitely should. I get SO much inspiration from her on a daily basis – but her recipe demos are some of my favorites. I watched her make this roasted chicken recipe and it looks divine.
These sweet potatoes with spiced lamb and mint look BOMB. I think I’ll try recreating this with salmon and some garlic yogurt sauce this week.
Do you ever just crave a homemade, gooey, chewy, warm, chocolate chip cookie? YES. So last night I was craving a traditional, no nonsense, chocolate chip cookie so Jackson, (bless him) whipped up these from Half Baked Harvest and they were just the ticket.
Life & Style
I love the shape and silhouette of these earrings – they could easily become an everyday staple.
When do we not need an oversized work shirt?
I’ve been dying to redo our bed / bedding situation for a while now. I got so much inspo from this post from Harlowe James – PS her whole vibe and site is so cute you should take a gander!
Reading this take on Better Living At Home was super motivating – it’s a mighty long list of great resources and tips to help being at home a much more elevated endeavor.
After taking a nice bath, I plan on diving into Live Beautiful for some visual splendor.
More Reads & Swoons
This website has been my saving grace these days. Whenever I need a beautiful interior too swoon after, or an article to help uplift me – I usually find it here.
I loved this article about Slow, Considered Homemaking. It really inspired me to reconsider a few elements of our home, and how we can easily change a few notes here and there to make a subtle difference.
