Prepping for cozy over here like…

It’s officially fall, which means that it’s finally nesting season! Jk, fall isn’t just about nesting, but for an introvert - I love a good evening spent at home in my coziest loungewear with a few candles burning.

This is also our first fall (and holiday season) with Millie! I’m so excited for new traditions and cozy evenings of cuddling next to the fire. We don’t have any trips planned for this holiday season, which will be a nice change to hunker down here at home and start a few of our own traditions.

I’m so excited for a few fall recipes that I’ve been dying to make. Although the change of seasons can sometimes mean saying goodbye to juicy stone fruits, succulent heirlooms and fresh summer veggies, it also means bringing in an abundance of new flavors and seasonal varieties. Overall, I’m so stoked about baking…I didn’t bake at all last year because of travel and just timing, but this year I’m going to flex the baking muscles again.

Looking Forward To

First and foremost, its Millie’s birthday month! She was born (we think) on the first of October, so that will be a special day for us.

Second, Highpoint Market, I’ve never been! But am excited to travel and see this famous furniture market. It’s one of the largest every year, and last year I saw so many good things on Insta! I can’t wait to go and catch some hot new trends for Spring!

Personally

I’m really wanting to spend more and more quality time with family. Maybe it’s because we’re growing into a new phase of life, but there is something so nice about sparking new traditions with loved ones. I also have a few gals nights planned that I’m super excited about this month — I can see copious wine and cheese in our future!

I’m also taking on a bit more work at the moment, so I’m exploring ways to be more organized and productive as my workflow seems to scale. First off, I’ve invested in a new planner - and am so excited to see how it goes.

Things I’ve Been Eyeing…

I’m in LOVE with these semi-boxy, two pocket button down jackets that are popping up all over the place. I just bought this one from h&m, and I can’t wait to give it a try.
