Concept | November '19
Finally the leaves are beginning to turn.
We’re starting this month off with a bit of travel. We’ll be in London for the first week of November and it’s really getting me in the fall mood. I can’t wait to explore the city more and experience some colder fall weather.
The past couple of weeks nearing the end of October have been sadly a bit dismal due to the wildfires across the state. In SF, we’ve been experiencing a bit bad air quality which has left me feeling strained. My heart is also a bit heavy - I’m feeling for those who have lost their homes or loved ones due to the fires, so it’s been tough to concentrate and not feel completely overwhelmed by anxiety. However I’m craving a bit of a refresh and a chance to get away from it all, so our upcoming trip is very much welcome.
November kicks off the holidays which I’m so excited for this year. It’s our first holiday season with Millie! We’ll be home for the holidays which will be nice to reconnect, recharge and rest.
About a week ago I started working out at home - doing simple 20 - 30 minutes on my mat with 1lb leg weights, and I love it. I haven’t felt like working out for a loooong time. It’s really been a challenge for me to get into a routine, get motivated and to stick to something. I used to be an everyday hardcore workout person, yet for some reason I fell out of it. So I’m embracing the change and seeking gentler and kinder ways to move my body, starting with going for walks with Millie and some simple everyday movements. When we get back from our trip I’m going to work hard to try and do a little movement everyday (it’s hard!) to feel strong going into the end of the year.
looking forward to
Traveling! I plan on doing a few posts while in London too. When we return I’m doing a major clean-out of my closet. I’m pairing down and only keeping with the essential basics that I truly love and wear everyday.
personally
Connecting more with family. November marks the beginning of the gathering season, so I’m looking forward to spending some time with my mom and dad before Thanksgiving.
Happy November!
