A French Skincare Brand That I Adore

Let’s face it, we need to take care of our skin all year around. The summer months bring more sun exposure, and winter is the season of dryness.

If you’re like me at this time of year, my face is craving hydration. I thought it a fitting time to chat about a favorite brand. Queue the moisturizer, serum and elixir!

I stick to the basics when it comes to skincare and am a huge fan of pure, honest products. There are so many different brands out there these days, each with a different purpose that it becomes a bit overwhelming when trying to find those that best suit you. I’ve seen so many people with beauty cabinets containing thousands of products (each worth hundreds of dollars) and can’t help but wonder how anyone has time (or money) or any of that. I’m a simple gal, who craves a routine with both ease and quality results.

I stick to a daily and weekly schedule of caring for my face. Once a week, I exfoliate and do a purifying mask. Each day I cleanse, spritz, moisturize and repeat.

Since college, I’ve been using Caudalie. The brainchild of a French power couple, one the daughter of a vintner and the other a perfumer, this brand continues to amaze me. I use their Gentle Face Milk along with the Intense Moisture Rescue. Their Beauty Elixer is also one of my favorite products to use directly after washing my face. It penetrates pores and creates a healthy glow. Both the Purifying Mask, Night Cell Renewal Cream and Brightening Essence are a few that I also keep fully stocked at all times.

I love how pure these products are. They smell divine and are extremely effective. When I first started using them, friends commented on a visible difference in the overall texture and luminosity of my complexion. I felt a bit brighter, cleaner and more pure than with any other brand I’d used before. It was a great help for me to first read their book The French Beauty Solution, to help give me a sense of trusting the brand and its identity. Caudalie is dedicated to pure and natural ingredients that are fairly harvested and used as well as creating fantastic products that are some of the best for all skin types.

my routine

In the mornings, I’m a huge fan of anything fast. I don’t cleanse my face in the morning simply because I’ve already done so the night before. In the evenings, my routine is a bit more uniform. I cleanse to remove dirt and toxins that have accumulated throughout the day.
