Favorite Bedroom Rugs

IMG_1441.jpg

With our bedroom redesign underway–I thought I’d pull together a few of my favorite rugs! The hunt for the perfect bedroom rug is always a challenging one…I tend to veer towards plush, neutral rugs with subtle detailing. Alas, I think I’ve got quite a diverse little list here, hope you enjoy!

When I get up in the morning, I want my feet to hit something soft. I want to be excited and overjoyed by the objects that I first interact with upon waking. Waking up is in a sense, “a designed experience” in my book. I’ve carefully crafted the objects in our bedroom to be thoughtfully placed, as to inspire the best mood!

What’s so different about a bedroom rug? Well, for starters–it should be something that you love! Any rug should be a reflection of your style, however, in the bedroom is a sacred space–where I tend to opt for materials and textures that I really am drawn to.

Our bedroom doesn’t get a ton of foot traffic–so I’m comfortable with going with slightly more “delicate” rugs that are lighter in color–hello crisp white! I do love subtle patterns as well though. I’ve collected a few of my favorites below–many of which are inspired by vintage looks. I’m on the hunt for the perfect vintage rug for our living room, kitchen and entryway–but those searches take time! It’s a lot like finding gems in the rough–and at a good price point. In the meantime, these are a few of my favorites that you can shop now!

See my faves!

Layla Charcoal / Olive Rug

This piece is ah-mazing. I’ve seen it in person a few times and the colors are stunning! It reminds me of a rare-find vintage rug…but at a quarter of the price. Such a great addition if you’re looking to sprinkle in a bit of contrast to your bedroom.

Delaney Rug

Our bedroom rug currently! It’s machine washable and literally like walking on a cloud. It does shed a bit–but that’s normal for souk-style rugs and does lessen over time. The pattern is more subtle in person–and it actually conceals wear really nicely.

Layla Ocean Rust Rug

Another vintage-inspired rug that definitely gives me Studio McGee vibes. I love how the colors come together–and it would be a nice pop in a neutral interior!

Turkish Kilim Rug

A one-of-a-kind find! Love these subtle lines. It would definitely be on the thinner side for a bedroom rug but it gives me major Eye-Swoon vibes.

Turnbull Ivory Rug

The quintessential white, knit rug.

Olive / Graphite Rug

I’m considering adding this rug to our living room! It’s such a beautiful texture and I love the subtle coloring.

Juno Boucle Rug

My runner-up favorite for the bedroom! Look at that stunning texture–swoon! Ideal for bare feet, straight out of bed!

Feather Dot Shag Rug

Love these subtle dots! A cute alternative to all the geometric patterns out there.

Elfen Ivory Textured Rug

I love this channel detailing–such a fun pop of texture.

Blake Handwoven Jute Rug

I love jute rugs for bedrooms–they’re the perfect bit of warm texture. This version is a bit more subtle and tighter-knit than most which I love.
