Wild Blueberry Oat Smoothie

blueberry-smoothie-1.jpg

I always call this the smoothie that isn’t really a smoothie–mainly because of the oats. Putting oats–or even granola in your smoothie is such a next-level game changer. I love that it adds a little bit of texture and always leaves me feeling satisfied.

Because this smoothie is a little heartier–I love making it when I don’t feel like eating a giant meal. It leaves me felling full and replenished which I love.

We all know I love wild blueberries–their antioxidants and fortifying nutrients are amazing for you.

If you’re in need of a hearty, delicious smoothie–this is your guy!

Ingredients
1 cup wild blueberries
4 red frozen cherries
1/4 cup oats or favorite granola (I love Purely Elizabeth)
1 tbsp almond butter (I love using Justins Maple Almond butter for this)
1 date (hint…soak your date in hot water before adding it to your smoothie–it’ll blend easier!)
1 cup almond milk
1 scoop collagen peptides

Add all ingredients to a blender, aside from the collagen peptides and blend on high.

Once fully blending, add the scoop of collagen–adding this while blending will allow it to mix easier–without any clumps or sticky bits.

Pour into your favorite vessel and enjoy!
