Summer Morning Power Smoothie
There are some recipes that just transport me right into summer mode.
Summer mornings usually tend to be slower and relaxed. I find myself craving refreshing and cooling recipes to hydrate and replenish during this time. I love this smoothie because it tastes like it should be served with a white sandy beach along side it.
Ingredients
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/3 cup frozen mango
4 large strawberries
thimble full of fresh ginger
juice of one lemon
1 whole orange, peeled
1/2 cup cold water
splash of oat milk (or favorite non dairy milk)
1/2 cup ice
1 scoop collagen peptides
Blend all the fruit, liquids and ice together on high. Once all incorporated and smooth, add the collagen while blending–I find that doing this allows for the collagen to better blend with the entire mixture.
Makes 2 smoothies, or one very large smoothie.
