A Minty Oat Milk Latte
The perfect sweet and refreshing treat.
I love love love oat milk! It has a slightly different appeal than nut milk, and is on the sweeter side making it perfect to pair with an intense brew. This latte has been a new favorite ever since I discovered oat milk.
The mint adds a hint of freshness which pairs perfectly with the wholesome and sweet flavor of the oat milk, creating a beautifully balanced flavor profile.
Heat the milk
I add about 1/3 cup oat milk and heat it on the stove for about 5 minutes.
Get Minty
I use a stone grinder and simply grind the oils from the mint leaves just a bit. This will allow the flavors to be absorbed by the milk and coffee when combined.
Froth
Once warmed, I move the milk into my hand frother and give it a nice, airy consistency. It won’t foam nearly like a dairy milk, but it will lighten up slightly.
Combine
Pour your oat milk over a nice shot of espresso. Add your ground mint leaves and pour over the frothed oat milk. Add a little mint garnish on top just for kicks.
