Art Manifesting '23

Have you heard of art manifesting? I didn’t know it was a term–but I’m obsessed with the concept. It ultimately means to manifest your dreams through art. Make it visual, talk about it, live around it–and you’ll notice a true manifestation take shape.

With that said, I thought I’d take a different approach this year to the traditional “moodboard” and make a few artful manifestation vision boards that speak to different themes for my 2023.

I’m so excited for SO many thing this year and so staying present is going to be really important for me–as it’s easy to get caught up in the “go, go, go” of a big year. I want to enjoy the process and journey and truly appreciate each moment as it happens. Each and every day is a true gift, and I’m learning that I need to celebrate each and every day. No more “saving the good wine for a special occasion”, or saving the good candle because I don’t want to burn it yet. It’s time to start living the life in front of me.

Our Wedding

I cannot wait. We’ve been planning non-stop, and I can't stop making more idea lists. My hope is that it all comes together in a beautiful way. I have SO much left to do, but I’m choosing to celebrate the journey. I got a daily planner that will help me stay present, and look at everything we have to do as part of the celebration–which it is. I think I’ve fallen victim of the “ugh wedding planning is stressful” mentality over the last year and I’m done with that limiting mindset. I want to look at everything as a gift–and celebrate when I check off a to-do. My goal is to feel my best, look my best, and give my absolute best effort into curating a stunning celebration.

Health

I started taking my health and overall wellness more seriously back in July - and I feel really good right now. I started taking better care of myself, and I feel like it’s put me on a nice runway into 2023. I’m thankful that I put the work in, and now its about continuing that journey and working even harder. I want to feel my absolute best this year, and part of that is making it an ultimate priority. I’m learning the importance of daily movement, and honoring my body’s natural cycles. My goal is to seek balance and create a healthy relationship with discipline. I don’t want to have a “I need to lose ‘x’ amount of weight” or “I need to run ‘x’ miles a week". I’m done with those mindsets, and instead–I want to invest in feeling my absolute best. I am investing in a more balanced daily routine that starts with setting a daily intention, reading The Daily Stoic, and making sure I move my body each day. More delicious, wholesome recipes that make me happy. Less restriction.

My Content

More sharing, more carefully curated content, more life content–more of it all. In 2022 I got scared. I became nervous of what people would think. How I was perceived, and what people would judge me for. And I really suffered for that. I lost the love for creating and sharing. I actually wrote down in my journal–”why am I so scared to share?” and it made me think. I am my biggest critic. I am the one who needs to be happy at the end of the day. So I need to do what makes me the most happy–and that is sharing. I feel like I have so much to say, but every time I try, I end up deleting it. I get shy and nervous and think to myself, “nobody wants or cares about anything you have to say”. And I'm done with that mindset. I’m my own person, and I’m going to start sharing the stuff that I want to see out there.

My Personal Style

I have so neglected my personal style as of late. I’m seriously so lazy when it comes to day-to-day style. I put on workout clothes when I wake up and it just becomes this vicious cycle of not taking them off until bedtime. But I’d love to revamp, pair down and invest in quality staples this year. As I enter into a new phase of life–I want to reimagine what my personal day-to-day style looks like. Part of this means reworking my wardrobe with quality staples that I’ll wear for years to come. Granted, this doesn’t happen overnight, but I’m excited to begin the pairing down process. I’m also a complete creature of habit who loves comfortable, stylish pieces that ulitmately feel good on my body–so I’m going to use that as my main metric for keeping or letting go of something. My friend Megan does this so well and her personal style is so strong–I look to her for so much inspiration when it comes to wardrobe and a more minimalist mindset when it comes to clothing.

Home and Interior

Although our home is not a top of mind for me this year in terms of prioritization–I do look forward to continue planning for our “future home”. We definitely won’t be buying a home this year, however I love envisioning and continuing to learn about my personal style. I’ll never stop styling and restyling our apartment–or investing in vintage pieces. I can’t wait to continue sharing this part of my life. Jackson and I have been dreaming up schemes for our living room–stay tuned.

Honeymoon ♡

I am SO excited for our honeymoon. We’re planning a few weeks in Italy and I cannot wait. Our wedding has a hint of an Italian theme, so I am excited to make it a large part of our honeymoon. Both Jackson and I adore the Italian lifestyle, and feel as though it complements the “California lifestyle” that we seek to cultivate in our everyday. Although we haven’t planned everything yet, I’ll share little updates along the way. Send any/all Italy recs my way please!
