Backyard Happy Hour With Just Enough Wines

Early September means sunshine-filled backyard happy hours. Here in San Francisco, our summers extend well through October. It’s one of the main reasons why I love the Bay Area. It’s truly a special time where the days are still long, the sun is heavy and warm, and enjoying sips with friends is the perfect way to spend a weekend afternoon.

Putting together the perfect happy hour should feel effortless (but with a little effort). I love a simple spread, with elevated basics to make a seemingly little moment feel all that much more special. I’ll do a spread of our favorite cheeses, a in-season fruit or veg and ample vino.

Looking for the perfect happy hour playlist? Look no further.

I love taking a little trip to the flower shop ahead of happy hour to pick up some fresh blooms. Loving mini daisies right now–in addition to my rotating faves (ranunculus, scabiosa, and anemones).

I recently made this rendition of bruschetta and we devoured them during our last happy hour. They’re the perfect little one-bite nosh–showcasing all my favorite flavors in season right now–tomato and basil.

Just Enough launched their crisp Chard recently and Jackson and I both fell in love. We’re not traditionally Chardonnay people–the oaky woody flavor just isn’t my favorite. However, when a crisp chard comes along, I’ll never pass it up. Their chard is one of my favorites for this very reason, it’s on the dry side and pairs perfectly with late summer-inspired foods.
