The Vibe–February 22

Spring, I’m ready for you!

Does anyone else feel as if spring might be starting early this year? The weather that we’ve been gifted here in SF has been sublime lately…and it has me lusting after spring! I think spring is my favorite season - mainly for its abundance of florals in bloom! It’s one of my favorite seasons to hop up to wine country and drive through the wildflower fields — everything is always so abundant, bright, and inspiring!

Okay so I also know that we’re mid-month and I am just now recognizing that we’re in February and of course, the rest of the country is still freezing…but maybe with this little love letter to spring, we can make everyone a little warmer?! Anyway, this month I’ve been delving more and more into social and I’m loving it. I started my Tiktok account up - and have flooded it with content, so go check it out! I also am really trying to be consistent with IG posting and reels - I started using a new layout in my planner and it has been such a gem when it comes to organizing my ideas and content strategy! I might create a separate post to chat on this subject more as a few folks have asked me about my creative process lately, and I’d love to share.

Fingers crossed, I’m headed down to LA at the end of the month for something exciting… I can’t wait to hopefully take you along on IG!

We’ll also try to get in a few vacation days while we’re down south, thinking we’ll head back to our beloved Santa Barbara for a bit.

Things I’m loving

I recently tried this self-tanning oil and OMG it’s amazing–I’m addicted and am going to start using it on a weekly basis. Couldn’t recommend it more!

I’m also in love with this scent recently…the perfume is a bit pricey so I started with the candle version to see if I really like it and the answer is a swift yes…I think I’ll head back to Sephora in a couple of weeks to nab it! So fresh and clean — to me its the perfect “at home” smell for when I want to feel pretty.

Going on

Not too crazy much, but we did sign a wedding planner! I’m so excited to be working with someone who can bring our vision to life. We also might have settled on a month (yay!!!) for the big day — more on that soon.

We’re also budgeting big time for said occasion. Weddings are crazy expensive (duh) and we have a few things that we want to splurge on (ie venue, flowers, photography) and so we’re making a big effort to save every month–we’re creating a little “wedding fund” that we’re contributing to and tracking as a team. Finances are….not fun but are also a huge part of feeling confident, stable, and independent. I feel so thankful that I can save money, and also invest…which is something I had NO idea about a year ago.

I’m trying to get outside every day to either read or walk. I’m loving Sally Rooney (how did I not discover her earlier!) and am almost done with Conversations With Friends after spending last Saturday at the park reading all day.

I also joined our local gym–and have become OBSESSED with the 12 3 30 workouts. If you don’t know, it’s a walking 3 speed on the treadmill while at a 12 incline for 30 mins, and lemme tell ya…it is a good one! I wear my bala bands on my wrists for an extra little burn and I’m dripping sweat by the end—highly recommend it. I’ve been trying to find a workout that I’ll stick with for years to come, and I think walking is it!

Other than that, I’m dying to get up to the new Amber Interiors Shoppe up in Marin…I’ve heard it’s amazing! Have a fabulous feb!!
