Small Moments of Luxury in the Everyday
A while back, I ordered this facial spray and hand soap and it changed my life. Now I know that may sound like an exaggeration–but it’s really true. It isn’t everyday that you stumble upon something that you really really, love. Now, these aren’t just any ordinary items, either. They’re artfully crafted to bring joy in a luxurious, yet approachable way. And let me tell you–unwrapping them felt like a gift in and of itself.
And it got me thinking–what other moments of small luxury can I seek out in my everyday?
I keep the rose facial spray on my desk for moments during the day when I need a little refresh. I also use it in the morning with my routine skincare–its such a refreshing scent to wake up with. The soap I keep on our kitchen counter in a small marble soap dish–and use it ceremoniously throughout the day as needed. It’s scent is the perfect crisp, clean smell with a hint of perfume.
I am obsessed with the idea of keeping small luxurious ceremonies throughout ones normal day. Perhaps its soap and facial spray-or it could be a candle, hand cream, a favorite receptacle to hold coffee–the list goes on.
What’s the purpose? Well–if you ask me, elevated experiences are rare these days. We’re on a daily routine that doesn’t feel quite normal–our future is a little gray, and at the moment we just need a few things to look forward to. So for me, if I light a favorite special candle, or perhaps open a special bottle of wine on a Tuesday–these are all little luxuries that I savor and appreciate for their uplifting appearance in the day-to-day.
here are a few more small luxuries that I’m swooning after
This candle–lighting it would be a dream!
I love this bath oil. I use it only when I want to take a long, luxurious bath.
Signing up for a wine membership (ships monthly!) that curates international wines–this just feels like I’m traveling already!
Upgrading our dinner plates to these beauties–how lovely would each meal be served on them!?
A rich, luxurious facial cream that is waaay too expensive but I’ve been told time and time again that it’s such a game changer.
