Winter Wardrobe .01
The dead of winter is upon us. I’m definitely feeling a bit of a slump this year - so I’m turning to a few favorite essentials to get me through these bitter few months.
I am in desperate need of a long puffer. I’ve been searching, but hadn’t found the right one until now! I love the way this one falls, it feels elegant while still being well…a puffer. It’s also the perfect off-white cream color, which for me is a huuuge plus - give me anything off-white and I’m sold!
Another piece that I’m really excited about this winter is the blazer. It has its moment last year - however I am excited to bring a couple more into my rotation starting with this one. It’s fresh, and feels like it’ll be super flattering. I think it will also transition into spring quite nicely.
I’ve been dying to try Byredo for a while now, and I finally ordered a few products. I’m starting small, to test and see which fragrance I’m most drawn to. I’ve heard great things about Slowdance so I thought I’d give it a whirl. Up next on my list is Flowerhead - my love for anything floral in scent runs deep, so I might take a leap of faith and order it in their perfume. Winter is just the time to experiment with new scents – you’re indoors most of the time so its the perfect excuse to smell wonderful.
I generally don’t like to purchase much after the haul of the holidays, so the first few months of true winter are relatively repetitive in terms of wardrobe for me. However this is the time that I will make a few key purchases of gems I’ve had my eye on – one, because they won’t be back until next season and two, if the dead of winter isn’t a time to treat yourself a bit, when is?
Happy Winter!
