Le Weekend | No. 4

Chestnut Street, San Francisco California on a sunny day

The last weekend, before we bid adieu 2018.

It’s the final weekend of 2018! How did that happen? This weekend we had glorious weather. So sunny, crisp and beautiful. We’re in those awkward days between Christmas and New Years, so we’ve had a bunch of time on our hands for aimless meandering and good family time.

This weekend we took it slow. We went for a beautiful walk along the water all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge and back down through the Presidio. One of the main reasons I love living in California, we get winter weekends like this!

My parents came into the city one day, which was such a treat to take them around our neighborhood. We stopped for a marg at one of our favorite places down the street and did some much needed catching up. Afterwards we wandered up to Union street for some retail therapy for the dudes - it’s so fun shopping for men. Why are their fabrics so much better than ours!?

After a few days of indulging, I whipped up my go-to gut helper, my ginger detox water. I wrote about it here! I love how simple it is, and so easy to drink throughout the day. I make a batch, and leave it on the counter so I refill every few hours.

After the excitement from Christmas settled, we did a simple deep-clean of our apartment and have been getting ready for the new year. We’re planning on laying low for the NYE holiday, and are going to stay in and make homemade pizza. I can’t wait! NYE is always a little overblown for me. I love getting to spend the day celebrating with the people I love most.

Happy New Year!
