A Bar Cart

Bar cart styling

Bar carts can be tough. It’s hard to tell what you’re trying to say with one. Maybe you’re the stay at home cocktail mixologist making smooth Old Fashions in your spare time? Perhaps your the stylish party host with every alcohol accessory and accoutrement known to man?… Or maybe your just like me and think that it’s a perfect accent piece for you living room that adds to the multi-dimensional layers of your home. What ever your purpose, I think you’ll find that they can be a great addition to your decor if you know what your looking for.

It’s important to note that using a bar cart, or any accent table piece in general, can easily add more functionality to a space. Currently, we're using our cart to hold our bar necessities. However, it could easily be used as a cart for coffee, books or even small decor objects such as candles and sculptures. The possibilities for a bar cart are endless, making a bar cart a really great addition to almost any room in the house.

However, as I said before, bar carts are TOUGH. Some are wobbly. Others are made poorly with synthetic materials that look thrown together. Still others seem fine, but don’t fit with the curated design of your home. For example, when I was searching for a bar cart, I personally had a tough time with deciding the right finish, color and material. These things all play such an important role in the overall quality of a piece of furniture. They can so easily elevate a product, and yet at the same time reduce it to a painted piece of metal.

When going through this process myself I trudged through a number of poorly designed and ill fitting carts until finally I found the one that suited our space and needs. It was a long process, but at the end I found the perfect piece to add to our living room. This bar cart is one of the newest additions to our home and I'm really excited to see how it will evolve with our style.
