Feel Good Jeans

Everyone needs a “feel good” jean. They’re the jeans you always wear, the old faithfuls, the favorites.

For me, I just started straying from my usual good-old jeans in hopes of finding a new favorite brand. I’ve been faithfully devoted to Madewell for their jeans since college. They fit great (usually) and will generally have some super cute styles at affordable ranges.

A few months ago I bought a pair of the high-waisted crop jeans and sadly – just wasn’t that impressed. I felt like the quality had decreased and their overall fabric and fit just felt super off. So I decided to hunt a little for a new brand – insert Agolde here.

I first found Agolde when I was in London. Sadly, they didn’t have my size in the shop so I looked them up when I was back in the states and ordered two pairs to experiment. Now, this is something terrifying to me – ordering a pair of jeans that you’ve never tried on from a brand that is super new to you – yikes! Jeans are super personal, and I usually like to see them in person first. I like to test their fabric, and how they feel before taking the plunge to put them on my body.

So I sized up, and ordered a 28 just in case their structured fit was a little extra structured, which it was! The 28 fit perfectly and I’m super happy with them.

I went for the Riley style. After trying both the Jaime and Riley, I ended up returning the Jaime because it wasn’t high waisted enough for me (I like a jean that fits above the belly button). The Jaime also felt a bit less friendly, and I like to be able to move and groove in my jeans even if they’re more fitted.

I like pair of jeans that fits and sits perfectly – and will crop at just the right height. The Riley allows me to wear either flats or boots with them which I love.

If you’re on the hunt for a new perfect feel-good jean – I’d give these a go!
