Grapefruit Margarita Recipe
A refreshing, clean and delicious take on a favorite recipe. This is one of my favorites to make on a Saturday afternoon when the sun is out and the windows are down.
I love a good margarita. It’s safe to say that they’re one of my go-to favorites to order when I’m out and also to make at home as a casual cocktail.
I threw this one together the other night and it’s oh-so-good. You can easily sub in different juices where you prefer – margs are pretty forgiving in that way. I like using La Croix in cocktails as it’s a clean-ish alternative to club soda. You can use any flavor that you prefer, however I find that the tangerine goes perfectly with this recipe.
Do Ahead
Squeeze the juice of two grapefruits (this should yield about 1 cup of juice).
Squeeze 3 limes and 1 tangerine (this should yield just about 3/4 cups).
Ingredients
2 grapefruits
4 limes (3 for juice, 1 for garnish)
1 tangerine
2 parts tequila of choice
1/2 tangerine La Croix
Juice the grapefruits, limes and tangerine. Combine in a shaker with ice and tequila. Shake and pour over ice into two glasses. Add the La Croix evenly between the two glasses, stir to combine. Garnish with slices of lime and/or salt if you prefer.
Cheers!
